He sat stock still, his white knuckled hands gripped the arms of his chair far too tightly. Beads of sweat swarmed across his forehead, while some of them bunched together and raced each other down his face.
He anxiously counted the minutes since his last email, but he needn’t have bothered since the length of time since his last email wouldn’t give him one iota of a clue as to when the email he so desperately longed for would arrive.
He had paid up-front and now started to doubt the honesty of the service he had paid for. Why, oh why was I such a fool? He wondered.
Then it came. It came like an elevator with a snapped cable plunging to the bottom of the shaft in which it is housed. The impact of the realisation having the same mental impact in his head as there would be a physical impact from the elevator falling.
The message sat there in his gmail inbox, not knowing how much anxiety was suffered during the wait for its arrival, not caring that it had caused such doubt in the service that had provided it, and most of all not going away again. It was here to stay.
Marked as being sent from ‘Baz_’s Blog’ with the subject line ‘New Boards.ie Blog’ the day had finally come when he, and by he I mean I, can let rip with all my thoughts, feelings and experiences (well maybe not all) both unholy and unnatural for all of your delectations. Of course that’s more or less what Boards.ie is for anyway but there you go, blogs are in, they’re hip, they’re the new trend, so I had to get one.
In all seriousness though thank you to whomever activated my blog (I’m assuming ecksor since I pm’d him and cloud, but didn’t get a read receipt from cloud, but then again it could have been anyone who keeps an eye on new subscriptions). And you can rest assured that i wasn’t that anxious at all really, I was just trying to add a bit of drama.
